Shampoo for shiny hair shouldn’t come from harsh chemicals. It should be sourced from natural and organic ingredients, giving you shiny hair that is healthy and strong. My favorite organic shampoo for shiny hair is the Rahua Shampoo -- Classic Shampoo.
Shampooing your hair should be a chore. It should be an experience!
[Cue the smell of rare orchids, pelting summer rain and the screeching of wild monkeys in the background.]
You see, deep inside the Amazon rainforest, there is a rare nut called the ungurahua (rahua) that grows and the oil from that nut has been beautifying the hair of amazonian women for centuries. This essential oil is used as a antioxidant, antibacterial, and anti-hairfall treatment.
To harvest the oil, only dead trees that have been left lying on the ground for a minimum of two years can be used. The resin is driven into the heartwood when the wood dies and matures, developing its unique and powerful chemistry.
The natural and organic hair products brand, Rahua, uses this Palo Santo oil. Rahua shampoo makes this their signature scent for all Rahua Shampoo and other hair products.
Scented with the exotic fragrance of organic Palo Santo oil and featuring the potent restorative Rahua, Morete, and Sacha Inchi oils, Rahua organic shampoo offers a luxurious experience with lasting results.

The Symbiotic® Tribal Oils Secret
Symbiotic is Rahua’s signature standard. So, in order for an ingredient to be classified as Symbiotic it must be rainforest grown wild in undisturbed virgin forest.
Then, people indigenous to the virgin forest environment with indigenous knowledge harvest and prepare it. Lastly, it must be purchased at a price that helps to grow and sustain these traditions, build economies, and empower the indigenous people.
More Sustainable Efforts
Their non-toxic, clean formulas prevent pollution of our water ways.
The plastic product packaging they use is 100% recyclable. Then, it recycles into park benches, designer carpets, clothing and more.
Their potent plant-derived, organic shampoo ingredients create high-performance, concentrated formulas which require less usage than synthetic formulas. Therefore, less consumption reduces package use dramatically.
Amazonian women have for eons depended on the oil from this tree nut to nurture, strengthen and make their hair shiny. Lastly, it fortifies weak and damaged hair, nourishes and maintains hair follicle and scalp health.
Then, its super-fine molecules push color pigmentation deep into the hair shaft, greatly extending color endurance. Lastly, skin benefits from its generous supply of omega-9 fatty acids, which tone, calm, and smooth the skin and restore its natural moisture balance.
The RAHUA Founders
Anna Ayers met Fabian, her future business partner after getting a degree in art and design. Then, together they traveled to the Amazon rainforest. Consequently, she was struck by the beauty of the place and wanted to show the people how beautiful, precious and important this place was. So, she wanted to make products that reconnect us with nature. And finally, to give us the opportunity to re-think how we’re impacting the planet.
Fabian Lliguin, while living in New York as a hairstylist, began travelling regularly to the Amazon rainforest. Then, working in tandem with local tribes, he worked to support indigenous people. So, he brought in computers and established courses in English, computer and financial literacy.
Then, with Anna, they created the Rahua brand to preserve and honor unique cultural rituals and traditional, sustainable ways of life that protect the rainforest and its people.
